Purchasing Contracts

In 2007 malting barley shortages were experienced throughout parts of the world due to many global factors including inclement weather and poor crop yields, decreased acreage being planted in barley, increased feed barley prices and increased beer consumption. In order to assure our customers adequate supplies of malt, Briess immediately developed a Purchasing Contract service.

Contracts include types and quantities of malt your brewery will purchase, and a beginning and end date. Purchasing Contracts are not limited to base malt, but can include specialty malts and malt extracts.
