Seattle Brewmaster Doug Hindman of Elliott Bay Brewing just returned from a trip to Reykjavik, Iceland and of course any holiday wouldn’t be appropriate without a visit to a local brewery. Olvisholt Brugghus was founded in 2007 in the southern part of the country on an old dairy farm. Doug was able to pass along some Briess information, malt samples and of course malted milk balls; thanks Doug! At the brewery, he was able to sample a smoked imperial stout as well as a strong ale brewed with glacial water and Arctic thyme. For a country with only a population of 320,000 that’s pretty impressive!
