It’s been called the most rewarding hobby one can have.  What else can you spend just a few hours doing over your weekend and end up with something as amazing as beer?

National Homebrew Day was announced on May 7th, 1988.  Since then the American Homebrewers Association has honored the occasion with a Big Brew.  The goal is to get homebrewers together to brew on the same day each year, drink beer, and share in the camaraderie of this great hobby.

Last year 8000 homebrewers participated in 437 events around the country.  If you’d like to host your own event, or find one near you, the American Homebrewers Association has information here –
