Quantity Ingredient Comment Malt Style 8 lbs Pale Ale Malt Base 1 lb Carabrown® Malt Roasted, Brown 1 lb Caramel Malt 40L Caramel, Crystal 4 oz Chocolate Malt Roasted, Chocolate 1 oz East Kent Goldings (5% AA) Boil 60 minutes 0.5 oz East Kent Goldings (5% AA) Boil 15 minutes 2 vials WLP023 Burton Ale Yeast 1 capsule Servomyces Yeast Nutrient Boil 10 minutes
Procedures
- Mash at 154-156ºF for 45 minutes
- Sparge at 170ºF
- Knock out at 65ºF
- Oxygenate highly
- Cool to 72ºF
- Oxygenate and pitch yeast
Primary Fermentation: 14-21 days at 72ºF
