Ingredients

8 lbs Goldpils® Vienna Malt Base
3 lbs Pilsen Malt Base
1.5 oz Saaz Hops (5% AA) Boil 60 minutes
.5 oz Saaz Hops (5% AA) Boil 15 minutes
1.0 oz Spalt Hops ( 4% AA) Boil 1 minutes
1 vial WLP920 Old Bavarian Lager Yeast
1 capsule Servomyces Yeast Nutrient Boil 10 minutes

Procedures

  1. Mash grains at 152º for 45 minutes
  2. Heat to 170ºF
  3. Lauter
  4. Boil with bittering hops for 45 minutes
  5. Add second hop addition, boil 14 minutes
  6. Add final hop addition, boil 1 minute
  7. Cool to 60º F, oxygenate wort
  8. Pitch 1 vial WLP920 Old Bavarian Lager Yeast
  9. Upon first signs of fermentation cool to 52ºF

Primary Fermentation: 3 weeks at 52ºF

Secondary Fermentation: 6 weeks

Fermentation Notes: Bottle: add 1/4 vial WLP920 Old Bavarian Lager Yeast

Original Gravity: 1.053

Final Gravity: 1.013

Alcohol by Weight: 4.2%

Alcohol by Volume: 5.2%

IBU: 27
