Clear lager character and subtle coffee flavor are the distinguishing characteristics of this dark, yet surprisingly light flavored beer. A refreshing alternative to stouts and porters on a blustery winter day.

Ingredients

8 lbs - Pilsen Malt
8 oz - Chocolate Malt
8 oz - Black Malt
4 oz - Roasted Barley
1 oz - Hallertau Hops (6% AA) - Boil 60 minutes
1 oz - Hallertau Hops (6% AA) - Boil 30 minutes
1 oz - Hallertau Hops (6% AA) - Boil 5 minutes
1 vial - WLP830 German Lager Yeast

Directions

Mash at 150ºF for 45 minutes
Sparge at 170ºF
Knock out at 65ºF
Oxygenate highly
