BRO a.k.a. Blonde RoastOat® Malt imparts an oaty mouthfeel and unique flavor while Extra Special Malt supplies a delicious complexity to this brown ale.
Ingredients
7.5 lbs - Pale Ale Malt - Mash Grain
1.0 lb - Blonde RoastOat® Malt - Mash Grain
0.5 lb - Caramel Malt 60L - Mash Grain
0.25 lb - Extra Special Malt - Mash Grain
0.25 lb - Blackprinz® Malt - Mash Grain
1.0 lb - Goldings Hops (5.5% AAU) - Boil 60 min
1 pack - WLP004 Irish Ale Yeast (plus 1/4 pack for bottle conditioning) - Fermenter
Directions
Mash grains at 154-157°F for 60 minutes
Lauter and bring kettle to volume
Bring to boil, add 1.0 oz of Goldings hops
Boil for 60 minutes
Turn off heat and cool wort to 65°F
Transfer to fermenter
Pitch one pack of WLP004 Irish Ale Yeast
