Callback IPA
A call back to the early 2010s, an eternity in IPA years, this caramelly double IPA is formulated with dextrose to accentuate Simcoe and Citra dry hop flavors by boosting ABV.

Ingredients

7.0 lbs - CBW® Pilsen Light DME - 60 min boil
1.0 lb - Briess Caramel Malt 40L - Steep Grain
1.0 lb - Dextrose - 5 min boil
1 oz - Bravo Hops (11.0% AAU) - 60 min boil
1 oz - Bravo Hops (11.0% AAU) - 5 min boil
1 oz - Simcoe Hops - Dry Hop Secondary
1 oz - Citra Hops - Dry Hop Secondary
2 packs - WLP001 California Ale Yeast - Fermenter

Directions

Steep Caramel Malt 40L in grain bag at 150-160°F for 20 minutes
Remove grain, dissolve extract, add 1 oz Bravo Hops, then bring to boil
Boil for 55 minutes
Turn off heat, dissolve Dextrose, add 1 oz Bravo Hops, then bring to boil
Boil 5 minutes
Turn off heat and cool to 66°F
Transfer to fermenter
