MEIPA (Malt Extract IPA)
Juice-focused IPA made with Malt Extract (ME) and Oat Flakes.
Ingredients
9.9 lbs - CBW® Golden Light LME - 10 minute boil
2.0 lbs - Brewers Oat Flakes - At kettle off
1.0 oz - Azacca Hops )(15.0% AAU) - 30 minutes at 180ºF
1.0 oz - Citra Hops (12.0% AAU) - 30 minutes at 180ºF
1.0 oz - Mosaic Hops (12.5% AAU) - 30 minutes at 180ºF
1.0 oz - Azacca, Citra & Mosaic Hops (15, 12 & 12.5% AAU) - Fermenter
2 packs - WLP066 London Fog Ale Yeast (plus 1/4 pack for bottle conditioning) - fermenter
Directions
Dissolve extract in 5 gallons of water
Bring to boil for 10 minutes
Turn off heat and add Briess Oat Flakes in grain bag
Allow wort to cool to 180°F
Remove grain bag of oats
Add 1.0 oz of each Azacca, Citra, and Mosaic Hops
Rest for 30min
Cool wort to 65°F
Transfer to fermenter
1Pitch two packs of WLP066 London Fog Ale Yeast
1Add 1.0 oz of each Azacca, Citra, and Mosaic Hops after 24 hours in fermenter
