Easy drinking Weiss beer with prominent ester and subtle hop aromas makes this a refreshing session beer.
Ingredients
6.5 lbs - Wheat Malt, Red - Steep Grain
1.0 lb - Brewers Malt - Steep Grain
1.0 oz - Hersbrucker Hops (3.0% AAU) - 60 minute boil
0.25 oz - Hersbrucker Hops (3.0% AAU) - 10 minute boil
1 pack - WLP300 Hefeweizen Ale Yeast - Fermenter
Directions
Mash grains in 3.5 gallons of water at 152-154°F for 60 minutes
Sparge grain with 170°F water to obtain desired pre-boil kettle volume
Bring to boil
Add 1 oz Herbrucker Hops
Boil for 50 minutes
Add 0.25 oz Herbrucker Hops
Boil 10 minutes
Turn heat off and cool wort to 68°F
Transfer to fermenter
Pitch one pack of WLP300 Hefeweizen Ale Yeast
