Quantity Ingredient Comment Malt Style 9.0 lbs Synergy Select Pilsen Malt Mash Grain Base 2.2 lbs Dark Munich Malt 30L Mash Grain Kilned, Munich 0.5 oz Centennial Hops (4.5% AAU) 60 min boil 0.5 oz Centennial Hops (4.5% AAU) 15 min boil 0.5 oz Cascade Hops (6.3% AAU) 15 min boil 1 pack WLP001 California Ale Yeast Fermenter
Procedures
- Mash Grains in 3.5 gallons of water at 153-155ºF for 60 minutes
- Sparge grain with 170ºF water to obtain desired pre-boil kettle volume
- Bring to boil
- Add 0.5 oz Centennial Hops
- Boil for 45 minutes
- Add 0.5 oz Centennial Hops and Cascade Hops
- Boil 15 minutes
- Turn heat off and cool wort to 68ºF
- Transfer to fermenter
- Pitch one pack of WLP001 California Ale Yeast
Primary Fermentation: 2 weeks at 66-70ºF
Secondary Fermentation:
Fermentation Notes: Force carbonate, or bottle condition with dissolved priming sugar and 1/4 packet of WLP001 California Ale Yeast for 2-3 weeks
Original Gravity: 1.060
Final Gravity: 1.015
